Updates & Notices
The "Signal Retirement Plan"
A lawsuit between Barbara Allen and Honeywell Retirement Earning Plan was filed on March 31, 2005 concerning a violation of the federal pension law or Employee Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA") in regards to the Garret Retirement Plan. The major issues surrounding the case are that Honeywell reduced accrued pension benefits, failed to give notice of reductions in future pension benefit accruals and applied improper offsets that reduced pension benefits. This is currently an active case where defendants are seeking retroactive payback of decreased benefits with interest along with the reinstatement of proper future benefits.
